Scrapbooking - Sweet Girl (aka Birdie page from Scrap 365)

As soon as you saw the 'Birdie' layout in the latest issue Scrap 365 you asked us to make it a scraplift class, and you know we DO try to oblige! You'll be using the beautiful Craftwork Cards "Tea Dance" papers to make this page come alive, in dusky pinks and turquoise and the layout involves lots'n'lots of layers, inking, and making ALL of the embellishments that you can see! There's also some stamping and punching, and plenty of die-cutting, too.

Bring a 3" x 4" photograph, in either B&W or colour (bearing in mind the colours of the papers that you'll be using), and can be either landscape (horizontal), like Elizabeth's, or portrait (vertical); with a portrait photo, there will just be less birdies, and more bunting!  Come and join the fun with this 'gentle and romantic' scrapbook page.........vinyl gloves can be provided for anyone not wanting to end up as inky as we usually are!

Don't forget.............you'll need your lunch, too!

Diane is our in-house colouring expert, and now we have our promarkers back in stock we want to teach you the power of promarkers!!Diane will teach you colouring techniques for things such as skin, hair and teddybears, and you will also make a beautifully colloured Gorjuss girls card to take home.

This vintage page is full of distress inking and would suit a sepia photograph. It uses the stunning large Stampin Up butterfly stamp as well as gorgeous ribbon to make it extra special.

THE BIG ONE - Tea Dance-Sunday 14th July 2013

Craftwork Cards has brought out this beautiful pack of subtle colour 8" x 8" paper and die cuts called "Tea Dance". We are loving it, so we asked Rebecca to add her amazing design into the mix and have a "Big One" class. You'll get the paper pack and much more to play with during the lesson to make Rebecca's classic designs and there will be plenty left to take home. Please hurry with booking with class as space is already limited.

Scrapbooking Lesson - you are (she is) PERFECT to me

This is a very tattered and grungy, shabby chic, though feminine, page featuring a special someone who is very precious to you!  You will be using ink and a blade (not TOO sharp) to distress, and even tear, the edges of all of the papers you use (including your photograph, if you're brave enough!) and the page also includes some stamping and ink splats (yes, honestly!), and a hand-made banner.

Bring: a colour or B&W photograph, measuring 6" x 4", ideally portrait (vertical)..... and your lunch!  The page is a slightly subdued yellow colour (or a rich cream, if you prefer), and has a few splashes of colour, too.

Saturday was sewing box day.

It was a very hot saturday, melting we were!

but we all enjoyed our cutting and sticking, and this was the end result

Scrapbooking lesson-Friday 14th June 2013

This colourful page features either three of the same photograph for emphasis, as Elizabeth has done, or three different photographs, or at a pinch, just one - the choice is all yours (see below for photo sizes)!! The page includes a little bit of die-cutting and punching, a lot of ink splats and inking (there's a surprise!) and a smidgeon of tissue tape and jewellery wire!  Although Elizabeth has used photographs of a boy, photographs of a girl/s would work just as well (or any other subject, for that matter).

Photo sizes:  three photos of 3" x 2" (portrait/vertical), OR two photographs of 3" x 3", OR one photograph of 6" x 4" (landscape/horizontal) ..... or bring what you have and we'll see what we can do!

Don't forget to bring a packed lunch, too....!

We are going to be doing a few Tuesdays when you get to make two pages at once. So this will be a full on day!

Come along and make this summery-coloured scrapbook page, using deep corals and blues.  A splash of.....er, splats, and some clouds and bunting completes the sunny, fun feel of this page.  Although Elizabeth has used a seaside theme for her layout, you can use any kind of summery-feeling photo - a walk in the park, children at the playground, whatever you have will do the job!

Bring: one photograph, no bigger than 6"x 4", landscape or portrait, or even square!
